NOTIFICATION OF CANCELLATION OF THE Recruitment of a Consultant for the Traffic Studies on the Bohicon – Dassa Zoumè itinerary in Benin /

In accordance with MCC policies and procedures as detailed in the MCC Program Procurement Guidelines available at www.mcc.gov , please note the decision to cancel the selection process for the Request for Proposals referenced above by the Equipe Technique de Formulation (ETF) of the Regional Compact – Benin.

The cancellation decision stems from the current political situation in Niger, in particular the ban by the Government of Benin to import goods from the Port of Cotonou to Niger. This prohibition makes it impossible to carry out the planned studies.

As a reminder, the ETF had issued a Request for Proposals on March 30, 2023 to conduct the traffic studies. The objective was to stimulate cross-border trade between Benin and Niger, focusing on the Cotonou-Niamey transport corridor.

We thank you for your understanding of this cancellation decision, dictated by the current circumstances in Niger. Although this opportunity has not come to fruition, we are grateful for your interest and hope to have the pleasure of collaborating with you on other projects in the future.
