The Government of Japan (GoJ) has established the Cool Earth Partnership as a new financial mechanism to assist recipient countries to respond to the challenge of climate change. Through this, the GoJ is actively cooperating with developing countries' efforts to reduce greenhouse gasses emissions, such as efforts to promote the use of clean energy. A new scheme of grant aid, "Programme Grant Aid for Environment and Climate Change" was created by the GoJ as a component of the Cool Earth Partnership. Under this grant aid scheme, Crown Agents will undertake the procurement of goods, works and services for the programmes detailed below.
